  • Army Sgt. Kyle R. Miller, 19, of Willmar, Minn.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery Regiment, Minnesota Army National Guard, New Ulm, Minn.; killed June 29 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy in Mosul, Iraq.

  • Army Cpl. Christopher D. Rose, 21, of San Francisco; assigned to 1st Battalion, 67th Armored Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died June 29 of injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device during combat operations in Baghdad.

  • Army Sgt. Bryan C. Luckey, 25, of Tampa, Fla.; assigned to 562nd Engineer Company, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; killed June 29 when he was shot by enemy forces while on mounted patrol in Mosul, Iraq.

  • Army Sgt. Terry M. Lisk, 26, of Fox Lake, Ill.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany; died June 26 of injuries sustained when his unit received indirect fire from enemy forces during combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq.

  • Army Staff Sgt. Joseph F. Fuerst III, 26, of Tampa, Fla.; assigned to 53rd Infantry Brigade, Florida Army National Guard, Pinellas Park, Fla.; killed June 24 when his Humvee came in contact with enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire during combat operations in Panjway, Afghanistan.

  • Army Sgt. James P. Muldoon, 23, of Bells, Texas; assigned to 1st Battalion, 68th Combined Arms Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.; died June 29 in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained earlier that day while manning a control point during combat operations in Baqubah, Iraq.
