Army Spc. Eugene A. Uhl III, 21, of Amherst, Wis.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; killed Nov. 15 when two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq.
Marine Lance Cpl. Drew M. Uhles, 20, of DuQuoin, Ill.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; died Sept. 15 of injuries sustained in enemy action in Anbar province, Iraq.
Army Pfc. Brian S. Ulbrich, 23, of Chapmanville, W. Va.; assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.; killed June 5 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Baghdad. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Justin L. Vasquez and Spc. Eric J. Poelman.
Army Pfc. Daniel P. Unger, 19, of Exeter, Calif.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 185th Armored Regiment, 81st Separate Armor Brigade, Visalia, Calif.; killed May 25 during a rocket attack at Forward Operating Base Kalsu, near Iskandariyah, Iraq.
Army Spc. Robert Oliver Unruh, 25, of Tucson, Ariz.; assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, Camp Howze, Korea; killed Sept. 25 by small-arms fire when enemy forces attacked his unit in Anbar province, Iraq.
Army Pfc. Wilfredo F. Urbina, 29, of Baldwin, N.Y.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, New York Army National Guard, New York City; killed Nov. 29 when his military vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Baghdad. Also killed was Army Sgt. Christian P. Engeldrum.
Army 1st Sgt. Ernest E. Utt, 38, of Hammond, Ill.; assigned to Battery B, 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed June 27 when two 122 mm rockets were fired into his forward operating base in Baghdad.
Army Sgt. Michael A. Uvanni, 27, of Rome, N.Y.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry Regiment, New York Army National Guard, Morrisonville, N.Y.; killed Oct. 1 by a sniper as he was conducting combat operations in Samarra, Iraq.
