Army Pvt. Kelley S. Prewitt 
Army Pvt. Kelley S. Prewitt, 24, of Birmingham, Ala.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, Fort Benning, Ga.; killed in action in Iraq.
Kelley S. Prewitt enlisted in the Army in 2001 and was deployed in January 2003. In his last letter home, he told his father he wished he was back in Alabama and that it wouldn’t be long before he’d be calling for a ride home. Prewitt, 24, of Birmingham, Ala., was killed in action April 6, two years after enlisting. He liked to ride his personal watercraft on Lake Logan Martin, where his family owned a mobile home, according to his father, Steve Prewitt. “He loved the lake and he loved the outdoors,” he said.
